Comfortable doesn't always equal boring. My bed is comfortable, but it's not boring. *blushes* I didn't mean it that way. Being wrapped in a blanket in a soft chair on a cold day is comfortable.
On another kind of comfort, I would be quite comfortable if Aurora started caring about what I want her to do (or not do, like climb on or in the dishwasher). I would be content with that kind of comfort.
um, I meant to say it is much better to be comfortable with something that to not be comfortable with it.
And Emano, if you have a gripe with "content" (I do too) then dioes taht mean you would have a gripe with it if Aurora started caring about what you wanted?
You can't be passionate all the time though. Or can you? I don't think so, it'd be too tiring. Comfortable to me is a lounge I can sink into, good book and plenty of time.
Comfortable is lovely. Not for all the time, no, but at times being comfortable is the Only Thing. Sitting in front of a crackling fire on a blustering snowy evening, wrapped up in a big fluffy jumper and slippers, with a mug of cocoa to hand... the essence of comfort. Lovely. Passion would be out of place in that scenario.
I would hate to be without passion. But I would equally hate to be without comfort. One needs both... but separately. Most of the time, anyway. ;)
Hmm. I agree with what everyone else has said, but I can also see where Rian's coming from. It's one thing for your bed to be comfortable, but something different for your life to be comfortable. You don't want things to be too tumultuous, but it doesn't do to let things stagnate.

Comfortable equals boring, right?
I still have a gripe with the word 'content' myself.

I wouldn't be comfortable being passionate.
Comfortable is a WHOLE lot better than uncomfortable. It is even much better to be comfortable with something than to be uncomfortable with it.
Personally, I am quite confortable with being passionate *grins*.

I'd call that 'relaxed,' Jes. Two twigs from the same bush, though.
I never could understand how people have a problem with "content" or "comfortable". What's wrong with them?
I think I agree with how Emano sees it!

Hmm...ph.
Obviously you should all listen to indy more often. He's a man of deep wisdom.
