Cindarelly

Rian had to purchase a Ball Gown this morning. Twas an odd experience, if highly amusing. Apparently when one purchases a Ball Gown the sales creatures assume they get a showing of each piece of apparel. And then a consultation on jewelry, shoes, etcetera.

Rian had hauled in six dresses to attempt.

Luckily, the third Gown was Perfect and Rian did not have to prance - literally - down the hallway in front of prying eyes more than those three times.

And...yes, take notes...when one is trying on Ball Gowns, one does not wear a stitch on underneath. One also feverently hopes the zipper does not get stuck halfway down.

I had to wear many stitches under my ball gown, because if I hadn't sewn a strapless bra into the top section of it would have...um...dropped.

And that would have been Bad.

You realise we will need a photo?

surely one goes to the equivalent of Rigby and Pelliers before attempting a ball gown.

And shop assistants can be repelled by bringing friends. At least that was my experience when helping to buy a wedding dress dress for a friend. (I made her buy a fairy princess one rather that the sleek bias cut thing she was looking for. Some dresses are just right for some people)

We don't even get a word picture of the Ball Gown? Is it chartreuse? Does it have a hoop skirt?

What is Rigby and Pelliers? And why is Rian thinking of hair lingerie?

Hmm...Mater...

...this is the designer's webpage...

www.dinabarel.com

Upon bemusedly glotzing, Rian has decided that the gowns all look much the same. Rian's is long, as are most. And...hmm...off white? Bone? Oyster? With some champag-ne beading about the plunge.

Rian shall wear it and the Whopper and nothing else.

Truth be told, whilst wearing it, Rian felt rather like a baffled mermaid.

I love ball dresses... I hope Rian parades for me when I see her. And Katherine should have a mini version...

Would it be too much to wear ballgowns to my birthday/leaving do?

I want to seeeeeeee. *grin*

I'll be in a dress for my Mum's wedding... Must get one that flatters, like the One Dress that I own. Actually, maybe my wonderful-at-sewing Mum could reproduce it in lighter colour...

Ash will be coming, too. Can't wait to see her in a dress. *grin* I'll take photos.

Pfft. This from the creature who claimed Rian was attractive in a...what was it, Emma love..."old, married way"?

And then refused to punch Scuzzy Guy out whilst Rian begged for disentrapment.

....says Rian, very innocently.

Hah. I want to see Rian, Em, and Ash in their dresses.

Rian's dress sounds like an elegant wedding gown. But she would look elegant and glamourous in anything.

That's quite a flashy website-- what I can see of it without a password.

I was rather hoping for a hoop skirt, though, and I didn't see any on the site. Rian as Scarlett will have to wait.

Pfft. Actually, I just didn't want it to sound like I was hitting on you. *laughs* Of course you're wonderfully attractive. That was pissed-tactful, that was.

I didn't even know about that!! You told me when I was miles away. I did rescue Q, but I would have decked him given the chance. Brawling is such fun.
