Lucky you-- I've never seen a fully mature umbrella tree in person. How long did it take after you planted the first umbrella for it to flower like that?

Unfortunately, Umbrella Trees are slow to flower and rarely present a full display unless tis raining cats and dogs.

It is common for the umbrella flowers to grow eyes?

They are carnivorous plants then? I can see how the brollies make effective traps.

Such a beautiful tree and 'fruits'!
Should we give it a scientific name - like...hum...rianalensis spokabrella ?

A very cool pic.

There is a REAL umbrella tree in the courtyard outside my units. And it is currently in flower. The rainbow lorikeets perch up on the flower spikes having a good feed.
