Sleigh Bells Ring
Tonight Rian is taking Someone Else's mother to a champagne 'reception and 15 percent off sale' at the local nursery/Christmas boutique. Apparently one must come with invitation in fist.*
Oddly, Rian finds this prospective Adventure nearly as exciting as an evening of dancing at the local gay bar with two wild and lovely Antipodeans. I do, however, suspect that the sales creatures will not be wearing plastic penises.
I am beginning to suspect that Rian is a Christmas Glutton.

Oooh Champagne reception at a nursury! Sounds fabulous! Of course so does the dancing at gay bar with wild antipodeans... with or without plastic penises.... I will be grading and doing house work and hopefully raking leaves.

Ata fully expects to be spending Too Much Money at an Adelaide nursery in the near future (once the backyard deconstruction reaches the reconstruction phase). But I doubt I will be rewarded with champagne and 15% off.
Rian has a sudden urge to sing Adelaide very loudly.

Confession: Rian had two glasses of champagne last night and spent more monies on Christmas decoration than is wise.
Odd. I accompanied Beloved's mother to a mulled wine and mince pie evening and 10% off sale at our local nursery/Christmas boutique just last week.
Perhaps not as exciting, seeing as how the mulled wine was non-alcoholic. But it was nice. And I also bought extravagant Christmas decorations.
Rian is beginning to suspect this only now?
