Oh, yes, flying through storms in the Wet season makes for spectacular scenery out the windows, provided one is not overly bothered by turbulence. Lightening runs and dances on the wings like... like... well, like lightening on wings.

I think we got hit by lightening when I was flying into KL once. It was kinda scary, we'd almost landed...

Sorry, Rian, but it's no wonder people have a fear of flying with people posting accompanying text like that.

"Amazing that the aircraft itself and the people and equipment inside can survive such a hit!"

Because of course, the aircraft manufacturer wouldn't take something like that into account during design. They do.

"Lucky people!"

Lucky to survive an event that most aircraft see each year? I think not.

I know flying is scary to you, Rian, but don't work yourself up with things taken out of context that you see/hear in the media!
